moderkortś namnet vart finns det?

Jag har 521 sdram i min burk, men så har jag köpt till 256 till.. men han visar fortfarande 512 i biosen när datorn startar upp.

i biosen har jag lagt till 133 mxh istället för 100/STD eller vad det nu heter.

Hur kan ja kolla i ubuntu vad mitt moderkort heter, för på själva kortet står det ingen bra jag kan söka efter.. Sad

Så får du rubbet av vad BIOS ser. (och kärnan uppfattar)

BIOS ska automagiskt lägga till nytt minne om det är kompatibelt.
Alternativt är det trasigt, minnen ska man man då alltid
jobba med handledsjordning monterad för att undvika statiska urladdningar som knäcker ett minne.

På BIOS bootbild brukar det alltid stå ett ID-nummer för BIOS. Detta ID kan knytas till tillverkare av moderkortet. På denna http://www.wimsbios.com/awardnumbers.jsp site finns massa bra info. Har inte använt den på länge så jag vet inte om den fortfarande är up-to-date. Annars går det väl att googla fram något annat ställe...

är det då PC100/133 SDRAM som stöds.

Om man bara hittade ditt moderkortsnamn så var det snabbt
gjort att kolla i manualen.

Syns minnet i BIOS ? Om det gör det kör Memtest som du har i GRUB menyn.

Även att prova med att ställa tillbaka till 100 i busshastighet.

Syns inte minnet i BIOS så kommer inte Memtest heller att se det.

Jag tror det är trasigt. En sak är att ställa BIOS i default settings, brukar all BIOS mjukvara ha.

men när man startar datorn i som vanligt så kommer ju loggan ifrån moderkortes förtag upp.. reklam.. bla bla..
och så så man MHz, Ram, HD/cdrom .. Smile
